The Okanagan Valley is a popular spot for destination weddings, right here in Canada! With the beautiful lake views, vast orchards & vineyards, and sunshine filled summers, who wouldn’t want to celebrate here, eh? This intimate reception had guests travelling to Therapy Vineyards in Naramata, British Columbia from Quebec, Vancouver, and Alberta.
The Bride provided a Welcome/Bienvenue sign that greeted the guests as they arrived at the tented reception and we created a custom wooden card crate, as a keepsake for the couple hand-stamped with their wedding date.
We continued the bilingual theme with custom menu wraps in both French and English for the guests to enjoy.
We wanted to highlight the Okanagan Valley for this destination wedding. We created place-card markers from wine corks and built wooden crates for the floral, pulling in elements from the vineyards and orchards surrounding the beautiful venue. Tiny details on the place-card indicated each guest's menu selection.
We kept our décor neutral and bright using the stunning lake view as the backdrop. We stained our wooden crates rich brown, pulling in the walnut chairs, and added warmth with antique gold charger plates.
We wanted a big floral impact for this reception. We used fragrant garden roses and peonies, as well as hydrangea and eucalyptus. The centerpieces were soft pink, ivory, and white floral with whimsical greenery. We added touches of floral to the wooden MR & MRS chair signs and Welcome sign, for a lush and romantic feel.
